CHRISTMAS LIST...

To make it easy for everyone, Julie and I are posting our Christmas list on here...enjoy!!!

Compact fluorescent light bulbs (we need the following to be able to replace almost all of our standard bulbs - 4 that work for dimmers, two outdoor floodlight types, and a few packages of the regular kind (60-100w equivalents)
TurboTax Deluxe with State (it's already out, believe it or not)

New iPod headphones (the right side of the ones I have now doesn't work...http://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Earbud-Headphone-Apple-shuffle/dp/B000OPCH52/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1196797124&sr=8-1) A new diaper bag (our last one was pee'd in by a little dog and the smell isn't going away)
Vacuum (if it's bagless, we'd like it to have one that doesn't have a ton of filters that need cleaned all the time)
9x9 or 8x8 Pyrex dish
Lowe's or Menard's gift certificate
Adelyn clothes (12 months or greater)
Kohl's or Target gift certificate (for clothes for Mom and Dad)
Willow Tree figurine "Cherish" (ours broke)
...and of course money to help pay off the furnace and AC we just had installed

That's all, but I'll be sure to add more later.

KNACRINE TECHNOLOGIES...

Since I'm tired of working for other people, I think it's time that I start thinking about starting my own business. My coworker and I have decided to start Knacrine Technologies. It will be a combination of software development and hardware support for small to medium sized businesses. We'll provided basic software development to solve some of the time wasting problems that small businesses go through, as well as provide computer support (for example, upgrades, new computers, networking, etc.). Hopefully we'll start a site soon and see if it ever catches on. If you have any suggestions or know of anyone who needs these types of services in NW Ohio, let us know. We'll be more than happy to look into anything people are interested in having done.

UPDATES, UPDATES, UPDATES...

A lot has happened in the last month or so. We've not only moved into our new house, we've already painted and made many improvements to it as well. It's been great to see things changing in it, but we've got a long way to go until it's exactly how we want. A never ending project, I'm sure.

We also have our new addition to the family. Adelyn Isabelle was born on March 28 and weighed in a 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19.25 inches long. Hopefully we'll have more pictures out here soon, but here are a few to satisfy everyone in the short term.

HOUSE UPDATE...

Well we haven't posted any house updates recently. We're planning on closing on the 27th of February and we get possession on March 4th. I would love to go into the nitty, gritty details of how I hope this house purchase is the worst one we'll ever have. That way, they can all be better than this one. It all started with the fact that the house was For Sale By Owner, and the owner's don't want to spend a dime to fix anything. I would so much love to walk away at the closing table and say, "Good luck finding someone to buy your house now that you have to disclose to them by law what's wrong with it." There isn't anything terribly wrong, just regular things that need to be done on a house, but they just choose not to do them, which is probably why they are trying to sell now.

Also, the house has been on the market since December of 2005 and we're pretty sure they haven't had any seriously interested buyers. Not to mention, the fact that the price has been lowered about $20,000 from what they were originally asking (which was way too much considering the market and the fact that it needs a new roof). I could go on and on, and perhaps I will at some point, but this should be enough for now. I just wish they were out and we were in and the whole buying process could be behind us.

I do have to say that our realtor and loan officer have been the absolute best and helpful beyond belief. If anyone is looking to buy or sell a house in NW Ohio, I would be more than happy to pass along their information. They will truly work for your best interests and not just try to "close the deal".

Mii PARADE...

Okay, so Nintendo included this neat thing called the Mii Parade, which allows the Mii's on other people's Wii's to parade around on your Wii to let you decide if you want to add them to your plaza so they show up in Wii Sports, blah, blah, blah... The bad thing about this setup is that you have to register each other's Wii's with one another so that Mii's don't just wander into unchartered territory. So if you're looking for a Wii to register, post your code and I'll post mine: 5649 2409 6236 3001. With any luck we'll be having Mii's parading around in no time.
